I've done this before playing pickup basketball. Give it a few weeks to do normal things, but your mag salute is fucked forever.
:fuckyou:
Keep it as is....ur wife/gf might like that new angle....
You most certainly should have posted here before going to the doctor.
when i fuck up a finger I tape to finger next to it for the splint and if you use ductape it will look more core
I've done a few of those. It'll be 80-90% in 4-6 weeks, bu that last 10-20% could take another 6-8 months. PITA but not a big deal overall. If possible, it's better to pop it back into place yourself immediately. The longer you wait the harder and more painful it becomes to reduce it.
With no fracture there's no need for a splint. Keep it elevated as much as you can and move it through the available ROM 10-15x every hour or so.
^ DTM’s post was pretty much my experience a couple years ago. I reduced mine right there on the mtb trail, but the OP’s looks more awesome. Took over half a year to heal up right, but I’m old.
I tried to pop it back but only had one functional hand and it was muddy and sweaty. Then it swelled up fast.
Ouch
Did that a few times. Once playing football, then a few weeks later I did it again playing volleyball. The 2nd time I had a small fracture to the last bone in the finger. Healed in just a few weeks, but I was much younger and healed a lot quicker.
