Ease of entry is a huge issue for most beginner and older skiers. I see a niche.

Agree w the concept that they are not building expert boots.

Yeah, and you have the Waymaker. Good thing you didn't try to put on the Hawx Ultra 130 XTD.

Waiting for the Savor 120 AT with tech fittings, to help get those new skiers into the backcountry . . . built-in walk mode with a 70 degree ROM!

It's smart. I have two friends getting into skiing in their late 20s. They would buy this.

Oh man, you’re not kidding. It took me two tries to get my foot into them. That’s at room temp. Sheesh.

Oh man I remember trying to get my foot in to try the 120 XTD. I thought maybe it was just me!

Why don't we see a rear-entry in the touring market? The ROM would be amazing. Do they really ski that poorly?

Cabrio touring boots are pretty close to rear-entry, just unlock to touring mode. You couldn't really get any forward motion in a traditional rear entry boot.

Just bring back the Salomon Force 9 SX92 knock-off and sell them to the park rats in a retro bundle with the original Teneighty ski. Tell them it will help them with their nose-butters...

There were times with my old Dynafit Titans, where I wondered if I was going to be able to ski. It was a monumental battle trying to get into them.

Anyone got any pricing info? Moot if they're in the same price point as Apex. Not a lot of beginners are going to pay $800 plus for boots.

So the owner of my local shop just got back from the Portland show. We were discussing the new gear. He was really underwhelmed at the lack of new design in skis, boots and boards. He brought up this boot. We laughed. He was able to try one on in his size. Said it was crazy uncomfortable with a silly pump, think Reebok, for the top of the instep. Boot cuff wouldn’t close down enough to fit snugly around lower leg/calf area. Super sloppy. Even for beginners this thing is a turd.
