Heading to the Papagayo Peninsula in about 45 days, staying at the Andaz Peninsula Papagayo. Based on web searches I can get a guy to pick me up on the beach. Wifey will be with so looks like an inshore day for small roosters and dorado. Any recommendation would be great,

Will bring the 8wt to see if I can coax anything out of the surf in the AM before breakfast.

I would suggest limiting it to 2 locations as travel around Costa is slow (windy, hilly, single-lane roads, and sometimes dirt roads).

Also, I think you can do the Arenal area in <3 days. I did 4 and it was too much. Although, the tours do take up 1/2 days or full-days.

Manuel Antonio I hear is very touristic, I did Nosara and I heard Tamarindo is great.
