I once was hired by NASA to dig snowpits in North Park, so they could compare their satellite radar data to what was really there under the surface of the snow.
NASA, bringing the snow geekery. Who knew?
They wanted to test the quality of their radar in picking-up different layers.
Who goes there that is so wise in the ways of science?
And was their radar detection good? Imagine high quality radar data on every single slope / aspect / etc.
