thank you, jerry! miss you.
The music just keeps getting better the more I hear it. What a gift.
This Ride the Mighty High that starts around 45 minutes in is kickass. The Gomorrah is pretty great too. Waiting on the second set to start now.
Thanks Jerry.
Halfway thru 4/12/78 duke show
I really really like licorice.
I had stopped touring by the time this was being performed, but it sure is beautiful.

What a great show.
Ya know I wonder sometimes what Jerry would think of all that's gone on for the last 23 years. Would he appreciate the directions things went, would he have wanted it to become something different than it did? I do think he'd be disappointed he couldn't take part in all the great music that has been made since he left.
I miss you Jerry :(
Jerry was a fat, selfish prick. Deserved to be dead at 53. He gave zero fucks about anything other than cocaine and opiates.
Being in the same room with him over 60 times, it was momentous.
There was something very special about him. But I have trouble with people that can’t say no.
Should I eat this plate of chili-dogs, no Jerry!
How bout a couple of pints of HagenDaz for dessert? No Jerry. Is it alright if I smoke 2 packs of camels everyday? No Jerry. How bout speedballs, am I cool with speedballls? No Jerry. Crack? No Jerry.
damn i onlys managed to share open spaces like soldiers field, alpine valley and the worthless world theater with jer bear and his heady followers

I have been listening to a lot of JGB on xm. It astounds me that he could be so mistake free, flawless, with perfect timing with JGB, and then be a disaster a month later with GD.
I was thinking about how it might be that the other band members were less tolerant of Jerry's proclivities (all touring pro musicians), but then I thought about the fact that John Kahn was a doper too...so who knows.
It is such a bummer he killed himself with his lifestyle, but zero fucks were given. His terms man.
Was cool to see Mickey post this on his bday.

This show was particularly special for me. Allow me to elaborate.
My high school girlfriend’s best friend and I were extremely attracted to each other, but we could not act upon it. One summer we were both home from college and ran into each other and made plans to go to some art fair in Maryland. On the way, we randomly drove by the Spectrum. We saw a bunch of hippies hanging out so we exited. Turns out Jerry was playing. We each scored tickets and some super clean acid.
We were in the front row of the upper level and I looked over the rail and noticed a little crows nest. We climbed over the rail and down a little ladder and into the sweetest hanging perch. Totally private and suspended, above the floor and below the upper level, with room to dance. I pretty sure it would be where the camera was to film The 76ers or Flyers.
It was an amazing show, the highlight being Masterpiece. Just a really good memory.
