Dirtbag in Lake Como - Seeking Yurp Intel

In early August I am heading to Milan and then Lake Como for my cousins wedding. I have spent a fair amount of time in Europe in my life, but never in Italy.

I was hoping to gather some intel about nearby or nearish-by hut to hut or day hikes I can hit. Fwiw I'm capable moving solo in big alpine terrain, but I don't plan on bringing my climbing gear (should I?).

I would love any other recommendations in the area. I'm pretty flexible in what I can carry with me, and planned on bringing gear for big alpine hikes. I'll have about a week before I gotta head elsewhere for work. Even guidebook recommendations are much appreciated.
