Looks like I will be heading out to Missoula in a week or two, and thought about bringing the skis along. Anything worthwhile hike-to, drive by chuting, etc?
Any info would be welcome. Also would like to meet any mags out there. I will be taking my mom to visit my sister. I go for the scenic trip, and some hiking, etc. Mom goes for mother/daughter time.

Last I'd heard, the Beartooth Highway, which accesses the goods on Beartooth Pass, was heavily damaged, and isn't expected to be back up anytime soon. You can still get up there to ski, but you have to bushwhack it, and I don't know whether the snowpack is worth the effort. Mountainman would know more about that.
Glacier NP is a possibility, but if you're in Missoula...maybe the Mission/Lolo area?
There is a good amount left in the Northern Bridgers with some easy access from your car. That's all I know. Missoula is hours away and lower down. If you're coming from Indy, you'll probably pass right by the Bridgers.
I will be rolling through bozeman and the bridgers on the way out. Anybody in the area willing to show a flatlander around?
I flew over Western Montana last week. Still looks like there is some good coverage, but I can't say exactly where it was though.
As an ex-flatlander I'd love to show you around, but I'll probably only have one day off in the next 4 weeks and I don't know when exactly that'll be. The Great One is a semi-easy hike, and the directions are simple. (The entrance is a little hidden though.) Definitely try to do it. And I can post directions if nobody else steps up, it's less than an hour drive from the interstate.
On Sunday (my one day off in June) I skied right near this run, I'll post some pics soon.
