Downgrading

I picked up a Canon G7 X Mark II (they really need to simplify these names) about a year ago, but I'm not using it anywhere close to it's potential like I thought I would. I think I'm better off selling it at this point and picking up something a bit lighter and more compact that I'd be more inclined to take with me when climbing or hiking. Anyone have any experience with the S120 or something similar?

I mean if you aren't taking the G7 with you would the S120 really be better? I would shoot with your phone for a while and see if you can live with the compromises.

why you choose s120 ? is there any special reason ?
