General Overview

Are you a self-proclaimed gear nerd? Do you geek out over rocker profiles and boost rear ends? Is physically getting your hands on all of the raddest gear on the market a dream you’ve been looking to make reality? If so, we have the perfect job for you! Level 9 is looking for a ski and bike gear guru to join our product listing team in a role which will let you share your love of product with the world. Product listing at L9 involves touching and feeling our latest arrivals, gathering product information, writing up descriptions that get people stoked on the gear, and pushing that product live onto our website where millions of people a year will see it. This role influences a large part of L9’s brand voice as not only do we give our customers the 411 they need, but we try not to take our copy too seriously. Key to success in this role is making sure our customers have the information to know the product is right for them rather than just rattling off a list of technical jargon and specs.

Job Duties

Gathering all necessary product information, specs, and attributes.
Spelling out all technical product features (i.e. ski construction, rocker profile, ski shape, bike componentry) and translating them into layman’s terms that help customers choose the right products.
Writing thoughtful, informative, and engaging summaries of each product, with an ability to convey who that product is made for in a way that pumps people up about the gear.
Peer Editing, edit and critique fellow lister’s work to achieve the highest quality product ads.
Necessary Skills

You must have a wealth of Ski/Snowboard/Bike Gear Knowledge
Excellent writing skills
Obsessive attention to detail
Ability to use, and easily learn, multiple software tools
Mindset of a team player as Listing works directly with numerous other departments
Experience with Magento or a similar ecomm platforms preferred
Affinity for ping pong
