5th Metatarsal Avulsion Fracture

Cased a gap jump at Eagle Bike Park back on June 29th. Went to ortho, put me in an aircast, crutches and a knee scooter. No surgery necessary, just very minimally displaced fracture at the epiphyseal area, not a Jones fracture or a full displacement fracture like Slater just had.

I've been keeping my weight off the foot now for a while (20th day in the boot) and looking forward to getting back in the game, but I want to let this fracture heal properly.

Any suggestions or experiences from others with broken feet about getting back into the game?

I'm looking at some flat pedals and a stiff soled flat shoe for getting back to riding when that happens.

Usually how long until full healing is achieved? What steps have you all taken for rehabilitation post air cast?
