But I still haven't finished my gallon of screwdriver yet.
And if you are going to do it properly. STIRRED NOT SHAKEN. Bond may know how to score the babes, but he doesn't know how to make a drink.
And it's gin, you troglodytes.
Also Juneteenth, of which I've never heard of.
Emancipation day, and strange enough, the only States that recognize it are OK and TX. Both of which, well, you know!
is there some committee of sub-95-IQ mouth breathing chuds tasked with coming up with "national such-and-such day" ideas? jesus fucking christ
And while we're at it, fuck your fucking "mexican martini." Oh, you mean a margarita strained into a martini glass? Oh no? Oh, I see it has fucking olive juice?!! Oh. And there's MORE?!?! In the shaker that you left on the table!?!?!? Because after you've mixed it its like 12%?! OH! NEAT-O! Oh. Wow. Does it have gin? No? Does it have vermouth? No? THEN ITS NOT A GODDAMN MARTINI!!! To be fair... delicious.
hey, buddy do you got the time?
no i don't got a watch can you spare a dime,
but i got two olives and a couple of limes,
guessin' that means it's martini time.
shaken, stirred...like it matters
mixed and chilled, done
My good sir, I'm left only to assume that those who are familiar with the martini, especially those who may occasionally imbibe, are of the quite sophisticated company which would ordinarily not include such sub-95-IQ "individuals," or as you so kindly referred to them, mouth breathing chuds. So, there, that kinda blows your whole theory, doesn't it? Take that!
I know my dad did his share of 3 martini lunches. Not sure how anything got done in those days. Or maybe that's when everything got done.
Something as simple as a martini, the details are the whole thing. What gin, what vermouth, what glass, how you combine it, it all matters.
Maybe with the first two. I'll be reaching for the bottle by the third.
Beefeaters. Noilly Prat. Ice. Stir. Pour into chilled stem glass. One olive, no juice. Sip, and let the icy goodness take hold.
I do love me some Beefeaters.
Damnit, today was supposed to be an off day.
While my e-persona may be that of a redneck hillperson, even I have the taste to never shake a martini.
Costco has a very nice green olive stuffed with a piece of jalapeno and garlic. My personal favorite is 2:1 Tanqueray Gin and whatever Dry Vermouth is available, with two of the aforementioned Costco olives. Most stores around here only carry "Martini" brand vermouth so if I find something else, I'll generally try it.
