I can't believe you're all still here

Just checkin out the board after years of inactivity, still skiing Logan Pass (tomorrow), had a good early season, a $hitty winter and an unbelievable Spring this year. I live in a cabin in the woods, no internet access, job has no access, so I still ride but I miss the board. My pass for 05-06 is paid for and so are my snowmobiles so now all I do is work and wait for the snow to come back to Montana, although we had fresh snow this week above 6500 feet. I hope all is well in Maggotville, it was cool to come back and see all the familiar handles, this is the worst part of the year but soon we will round the corner and head back to winter! Stay sane, the snow will return.

I must say i have missed the dialogue, it's good to see names like Dex, blurred, yoga chick, splat, phunk, bakerboy, DJ, She Ra? and the rest, I'm glad to see you're all still alive, keep on ridin' those boards.

I only put a ? by your name because last time I was here you were pissed off and had left the board, I hope you're the same SheRa that was here 2 years ago. I haven't seen anything from iceman or D-day but I'm sure those angry phuckers are still alive.

The Pass was open splat but since they got 6-8 feet of new snow last week it has been closed till the weather turns. :) I am most definately getting up there as soon as it does open. And how the hell do you know about the Canyon's most prestigious establishment, the Dew Drop Inn? Some places around here scare me even as a local.

Worked a summer in Many Glacier and St. Marys.
Had a guy stick a cocked and loaded 30-30 in my face at the Dew Drop.
That was back when the hiway went right in front of it and it was always lively.

Well, if you knew the locals that went to the Dew Drop that story would be much less surprising. Between that and Packer's Roost we've got everything from the "crazies coming out of the woodwork" to the "badass bikier" bar covered. Stoner's Inn takes the people in the middleground. Frita's up in WG is the kind of bar that most people on this board would probably hang out at around here.

Koolade, you're a canyon critter, you're probably the guy that busted out the window of my friend's car last summer at Frita's, and yes that is the yuppy bar in the "canyon." I want my CD's back.

The canyon is the spot where the 3 rivers of the Flathead converge. It is a scarey place, rivaled only by the most backass areas of Appalachia and possibly the Yaak in terms of number of meth labs busted in the last 5 years and the number of deliverance style families living in shacks and trailers.

LOL. That's some backwoods shit up there.

I'm glad to say that I wasn't living in the canyon last year Danimal so it couldn't have been me. Apparently even Frita's is starting to get creepy lately though, and your story seems to confirm it. There have been lots of fights and even a reported knifing up there in the past two years. It's seperated from the rest of the bars in the canyon because that shit gets reported to the po-po if you're at Frita's. And I believe that the Canyon (Hungry Horse specifically) is currently leading the race in the Meth Capital of the US race. These towns are all like this because the Dam brought a lot of money and prosperity about 50 years ago and now the worker's descendents are here with no jobs.

Yeah, but if they do all that meth, they can cut wood five times faster. :rolleyes:
