Fishing out of Seattle Friday with 3 or 5wt

In Seattle for the weekend to see a friend, but he's working Friday. Planning to steal his car to fish somewhere, perhaps the middle fork of the snoqualmie?

Only have a 3wt, a 5wt, and an old bamboo 6wt. Thinking I can't trust any of those with anadromous fish, so next priority is to be in a pretty spot. Is the middle fork of the snoqualmie a good bet for fishing quality/scenic within a short drive of Seattle? Likely to be able to fish dries on Friday, weather dependent?
