RIP Ralph. You were awesome.
If you think I was talking about his hollerin' (which was iconic) you need to watch this.

Fuck, so sad right now.
RIP. some great old full sets on you tube
Saw him a couple of times. Great sound.
Very sad news indeed. A true innovator and inspiration to millions of musicians world wide. His footprint will remain on modern music forever! RIP
Bummer, saw him a ways back play Neil Young's Bridge School. None of the hipsters realized who he was until he broke into MOCS. He was playing as part of T Bone Burnett's Speaking Clock Review and shared the stage with Elton John, Leon Russel, Elvis Costello, Jeff Bridges, Neko Case, and Emylou. Truly spectacular and something I wont ever forget!
Great artist. He will be missed. Good memories.
I had the pleasure of seeing him a few times at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. One evening closed with Earl Scruggs, Doc Watson, and Ralph Stanley, one after the other. Combined age about 260+, and all 3 could still rock. RIP.
This one is about Ralph's brother Carter Stanley but it seems appropriate now (you can skip the talking in the second half of the video if you're not in the mood.
