Okay, so those are freakishly weird, I wonder how long they really are?
It looks like they are use inserts for the peices to come together, not something that you would want to really rip around on.

It would suck if the skis folded up while you were rippin it up.
I'd like to see the mechanism in more detail. Afterall, they have jet attack bombers with wings that fold up for storage.
Now... how about a ski with a a "dial a waist" knob on it.
