So what's the ruling on snowmobiling at ski resorts (read Breckenridge) after the mountain has shut down? We need to get to the top of Breck this weekend for a cool project. Anyone have the 411 on this? thanks

Considering those cunts yelled at me for ducking a rope into in-bounds terrain, possibly.Quote:

On second thought, I rode my sled 10 years ago up Bridger Bowl at night. Got busted by the cops at the bottom of the hill. They threatened me with trespass. That was during there season. Post season?
Bridger is FS.
so what do you have in mind ;)

Breck leases USFS land.

White River National Forest 970-945-2521 jrothe@fs.fed.us
They ought to know.
F#*K the POLICE!
word-
Just heard that Loveland is getting hit hard by sled traffic - all the way up to the ridge. That's USFS land as well.
Did sled laps a couple of weeks ago at Breck with no problems. Parked at the Peak 8 base area, skied Horseshoe bowl and used the t-bar line for sled traffic.
I know from riding sleds at another Colorado ski area that after the ski area's permit is finished for the season the issue is tresspassing. It all depends on if you load and unload on private property at the base area, if you do they can pop you for tresspassing.
Also, if you get caught riding off at the end of the day you can always claim you started at a legal trailhead and just happened to end up at the bottom of the ski area. We would usually park the truck and trailer away from the pick-up spot so it wouldn't attract extra attention.
Sometimes they extend the ski area's permitted control over the ski area if they have big summer construction plans because they plow cat tracks and have truck traffic on the mt. Realize that you are ridding on a ski area and there is lots of random shit around to run into.

When I heard them coming at first I thought they were patrollers or maintenence guys, but they were wearing all that cool MX type shit and just rippin around. No one got them that I know of and there were tracks everywhere. I'd say you should be good.
