Frizzo and I are heading up. When is dependent on who wants to go I suppose, but it'll have to be in the evening for the working stiffs (Frizzo).
I've only been on one XC ride since I got here, so I'll let someone else pick the spot.

I'm scheduled to meet a couple friends at I-street tomorrow at 5pm. Aaron is going to ride at I-street and his wife and I are heading out somewhere TBD to ride XC (she's also a downhiller but she just had surgery on her ankle and isn't supposed to be dirt jumping). I've never really ridden any XC from I-street, so I'm almost thinking we should drop him off at the dirt jumps and go start somewhere I know - like Dry Creek or something. Any other suggestions?
I just got back from riding up in Ogden with them and it was sweet. While there wasn't any more mud on the trails than there was on Saturday, the creeks are raging rivers today.
I'm headin out, probably to dry creek sometime around 5ish tomorrow. Stump has good intentions, but may not have his gear in order in time to join us. Soon, I gather though. Maybe dry creek to city creek? Bobsled? At this point, I have ridden them all so many times this spring that I'm indifferent.
Can you start from I Street and get to anything good? I'm looking at maps and not sure how it connects up, but I'm assuming if you get up to the trails that you see up on the hill there that either is the shoreline trail or gets you to the shoreline trail? Anyone want to meet us at I street and play tour guide?? :DQuote:

We rode Dry Creek to City Creek a couple weeks ago and went right by I-Street. So you can go pretty much anywhere from up there.Quote:

Check the map at the bottom of this page. The water tank is I-Street.

J-
You can easily get to Bobsled, City Creek, Dry Creek, Hogle...from I Street. Problem is getting back--it's a big climb back up there!
I think parking at Popperton Part is the best for access to any trail up there, except for if you want to play around at I-Street. Riding back to the park from City Creek or the base of Terrace Hills after Bobsled is pleasant and short, and who wants to climb a bunch of pavement (avenues to I-Street) after a tiring ride?
I planned on doing a Hogle Zoo to Bobsled lap sometime tomorrow. I would be in for a Popperton Park up Dry Creek though if you get a group together...it's a shorter loop but the best stuff is in that area. Someone pick a time and the spot and I'll be there. Anyone been up Millcreek lately?
Yeah, getting back to I-Street would suXor. Anyone who's driven up there knows the climb you're in store for. Ugh. I'd do Dry Creek from Popperton or just play at I-Street. Really I'll do anything as I'm riding up there with Bag.
Is there a plan then? I'm thinkin Popperton around 5:30.
I already got my XC ride in today at lunch (Glenwild). But I'll see anyone who's there at I Street. And the XC geeks can stop by and say hello. Peace out-
Frizzo's making me go to I Street today. In exchange for my compliance, he's promised to do the Gully Drop...I'm gonna hold him to it.
I'm open all week though, especially during afternoons, so PM if anybody wants to ride.
I'm off next week, anybody up for some rides?Quote:

What's the deal? Do you guys just plan on meeting up at that time? If so I need some directions...please. :DQuote:

The other people we're meeting live up in Ogden, so we're just meeting them then. It's in Bountiful and we meet in the parking lot pretty much directly under the "B" up on the side of the mountain. I'll get Craig to give better directions, but we should probably carpool.Quote:

Does anyone know if anything up in Park City is rideable yet??
Keep me posted I want some of that shuttle action. I'm riding Dry Creek tonight, might tele the Bird tomarrow AM.
Ok heres the new plan:
Tonight - dirt bikes @ 5 mile pass
Tomorrow morning I'm working.
Tomorrow at maybe 11ish, we'll head up to PC to see if we can find anything rideable.
Sunday morning at 8:30 we'll meet up at Bountiful to do shuttle rides.
Glenwild is 100% good to go, as is the Round Valley Loop. I'm going to check out Lost Prospecor tomorrow, as I imagine its getting close too.Quote:

P.S. Almost 5 hours at I Street today gives old meaning to the term redneck.
We'll be there Sunday and can meet you right off I-15 - take the 500N exit and head east, stop at the Biker's Edge parking lot and we'll look for you there at 8:15 and guide you the rest of the way up because neither of us can remember the names of any of the streets up there...Quote:
