Growing up as a kayaker, 6+ day river trips evolved me into a rafter as well. Just finished rigging my new Diablo setup as boating season is underway here.

Payettes this weekend.
Well, if I'm going to follow that boat I might as well go to the opposite end of the spectrum.
14' Hyside circa 1995. Old fleet boat. I came home from work one day and my wife told me she bought us a boat. Got her for $1500, which included the rubber, frame, cooler, dry box, and 3 Carlisle oars. I got a couple new oars, replaced the pins/clips with oar locks, put some foam on the cooler, built some drop floors and rod holders. Finally got a trailer last fall.
We don't seek whitewater. She's primarily a fishing boat, sans fishing frame or anchor. No matter, she gets it done.
Yeah, she's old, but she's bomber. She's got good history, too. After a brief stint as a fleet boat, she went on to run the Middle Fork, Gore a few times, the Grand 4 times, and other less notable stretches. Now that she's mine she's semi-retired, floating class III, getting fish slime on her, and taking kids and dogs down the river.

Sadly we are saying goodbye to her as we are "canyoning up" to some bigger rubber for a Oct 25th GC launch.
Not whitewater related, but this is the boat I've been paddling most lately. The 8 miles in the middle of this paddle across Flathead Lake was super fun surfing from one swell to another. The final 4-5 miles was brutal. Waves got big enough where we'd lose track of the safety boat when separated by the waves.
