I am a XC rider and I am looking for the best baggy shorts with padding. I would like shorts that are comfortable and that look half way decent. I have been looking at the Fox High Frequency and Mid Ranger as well as other models from Zoic and Nema to name a few. Also, if you happen to know where the best deals are for the clothing that would help...I wear a size 36 so I guess they would be Large...Thanks!!
I have a strange feeling that backcountryoutlet.com will have some Oakley MTB 2.4s on their site in the next few days for around $58.95...
Oakley Ballistics, period. But they are SPENDY...$130 retail. I have 2 pair and pretty much won't ride in anything else. (unless I'm riding DH)
Oakley's rule. Forgot my shorts on one out of town ride. Had to go to a shop and pay full price for a pair (something I don't tend to do). $70! I was soooooo pissed! Now they're my favorite shorts, and I wear them several rides in a row until they stink sooo bad I must wash them. I'd buy more, but I spent all my $ on bikes.

I have some Nema shorts. They are average at best. I only bought them because Nema is Amen backwards. Pretty fucking evil, eh?
I know I am a girl and all...but i really like the Oakley baggies. They are spendy, but so are Zoics. However, they are really well ventilated and great padding. And they look like boardshorts.
I love my Nema Jewels.
PS. $130 for facking bike shorts? Yikes.
so far the Oakley pants look like what I need to buy. Would be nice if they happen to go on sale!
Tonight I just bought a pair of 661 Stinger MTB shoes. Does anybody have any experience with these? I thought they fit well and were close to the Answer shoes that I was going to buy.

i too ride the Nema Jewels....inexpensive and comfortable
a pair of super padded pearl izumi XC shorts with cut off combat pants over them.

those look nice, but i feel pretty pimpin rockin my cut-off cords that cost me 2.99 at double-v. all the cool people are doing it.
