Over an extra long weekend, a buddy and I packed a ton of junk on sleds and dropped over the backside of a popular sledding area into a rarely traveled valley, then up the other side with sled and skin onto a sick glacier with tons of ski potential.

First descent is Sugarloaf Mountain, north col, second Beaver Mountain north face, third Sugarloaf, east face direct.
That whole thing is Boss! Liked the longer bootpack bit really sold how heavy that was!
You're not kidding about a ton of junk; sleds, camping gear, verts, technical ice axes, & roped travel. Nice!

Nicely done. Are those Salomon Czars you're skiing on? If so, huge props -- I wouldn't want to be in that kind of terrain on those things nor would I want to carry them.

Thanks guys. The crampons are fully capable front pointing with plates on. No noticeable extra slop once you get em set up nice.
Yes, czars. Different strokes, I love the way they ski. The low rocker and lack of sidecut is a lifesaver in breakable crust. Unlike touring specific skis they have enough edge material they don't suffer a compression when merely looking at a rock.
