5d2 Price

Duders, and dudettes:

Friend of mine is getting rid of his 5d2 and, even though his timing sucks, I'm still interested. He asked me to let him know what it's worth and then we'd talk about price. Quick searches on Fred Miranda and the flee bay are telling me about 800 to $1100 depending. Is that sounding about right? Of course his is completely friggin mint with low shutter count, but damn.... $1g just isn't in the cards.

What's the "you have to friggin buy it" price?

Lenses are on the side...another discussion for another day.

I think $1000-1200 is probably average for a good condition 5D2 with relatively low clicks (you can get a 6D for $1200 these days), and $800-850 would be an awesome deal.

Is there any advantage to getting a 5dm2 if you're spending almost the same as a new 6d? just curious... seemingly 6d is the same/better in every way?

6D is certainly a better camera. If you can get a 6D for $1200, I'd say $900 is what a 5D2 would be worth.
