Dynafit Vertical FT12 Brake Bend (Not Radicals).

I have a pair of brand new Vert FT12 heels with brakes. I need to bend the brakes out to fit my EHP (116mm underfoot). This meas I need to bend each brake lever out by about 5 mm. The current bend in the brake arm will not fit over the body of the ski.

I searched, and found the Salomon brake swap, but I didn't see anything about actually bending the Dynafit brake arms.

Can I just reef on them and bend them out, like the Salomon brake arms?

Are they heat treated (which will snap if I bend them)?

Anyone got a method?

i got 110's to bend out to fit 120's w/out much reefin
the conduit or ski pole butt over the arm and a bit of outward pressure is my easy brake bendin technique

IME the ST brakes bent pretty easy by slipping an old ski pole over the plastic brake and using a vise grips or channel lock pliers or vise to hold the other side during the forming. I was able to bend them outwards at the 90 degree for the clearance and then toe them inwards with another bend just after the plastic of the brake so the brake ends don't stick out to catch on shit when folded on top of the ski and when deployed the ends push down straighter into the snow

Not to threadjack completely, but any thoughts on bending 100mm Vert12 to fit some 125 Drifters? Seems like a bit much to me.

Awesome. That's what I was looking for. I was going to use a vice and pole to bend them out and back.

Andrew Mclean/straightchuter.com or Lou had a post awhile back (can't find it) where he dremmeled off the interior plastic bits of the brake to give you more clearance. Probably would give you another 2-3mm each side, no?

What are the actual length of the screws that come with the VERTICAL FT12.

I have a zip lock bag of random binding screws, and I know that one of the sets is for the FT12s I have. I just don't know which set.

I have two sets that are the likely contenders.

Same same , except for the length.

I got it all figured out and mounted up, brakes fit too.
