I am booking a ski vacation for the last week in March to Snobird/Alta. What kind of conditions can I expect, and is it worth going at that time?

Most definately worth going at that time. In the spring you have a great chance of great skiing conditions. You may get sunny skies and corn snow. However March in the Wasatch often sees sick storms and mid-winter style powder. Crowds are also less thick. I highly recommend the spring time for checking out our mountains.
Alto - I totally agree with you...March and April are amazing times to ski around here, Gravity - go for it, you won't be sorry...
Utah sucks even at that time of year...;)
