Any help getting a cheap flight to Denver?

Looking to fly from Seattle to Denver roundtrip during the week of 4/9-4/17. Would like to spend at least 5 days there. All the airfares I am coming up with are $450+ and site59 requires me to return 4/11 or 4/12.

I have an awesome job interview which I would like to attend in person (as opposed to over the phone) and the possibility of having a couple others. Sure I will be skiing, but the interviews are the main reason for travel. I'm not saying I am giving up on the PNW, it's just that these are great teaching opportunities.

Any help would be much appreciated. I guess I am just booking too late to get good rates.

why not drive, bring your bike, and stay longer?

Takes two days to drive each way, is boring as hell, and I have a job to get back to, :frown:

Since we're on the subject of getting inexpensive flights, can anyone give some advice for finding cheap airfares to overseas ?


R/T airfare for a short stay in New Zealand = $650
And the same ticket with a 6+ month stay = $2,250

Still Spring Break for many...if you have some flexibility with your dates, sometimes cheaptickets.com has some decent "last minute deals" but you might have to shorten your trip a bit..

Two round trips different airlines shitcan the returns. It will piss them off and you probably won't get the FF miles but you'll have an extra G in your pocket to ease the pain.

On Travelocity, if you search lowest fare from seattle to denver, during this month, it gives you a close airport alternative, Vancouver BC, for $148.00 RT if you depart on the 8th and return on the 18th. or if you don't want to drive the 146 miles, you can fly for $308 from seattle.

Orbitz just spammed we with $273 for the 12th to the 18th. This would obviously not work if your interview was on the 11th.

A good thing to know is that even if you have to bite the bullet on the plane ticket, it's fully tax deductable as a 'Job Search Expense', so you can write the cost off on your 2005 return.

Another suggestion would be to call the Airlines directly, because at times lesser expensive seats become available when people change/cancel their flights etc.

Yes, but it is still $446. Earlier tonight I booked one for $466... it's a lot, but if I get the job it will totally be worth it.
