Anyone watch the Margaret River contest yesterday??
watched some of the first heat before heading home from work. Wish they'd have these events on US tv so it was easier to watch at home, away from a computer.
based on the scores seems like waves started mediocre and kind of stayed that way.
There were some nice faces - apparently you can watch select days on the watchespn app. I bought a little hdmi output thing for my computer so it feels like it's on cable
Weird to not see any Quiksilver gear on Slater. I thought it was an April fools joke. Slater gave an interview after his heat saying his most recent five year contract was up and he's going to start his own line of clothes with some venture capital backing.
Yeah apparently the Kering group is going to partner with him (they work with Gucci, electric, volcom, and some other relevant brands)
Can't see a slater clothing line catching on though
