Need some transceiver advice, please.

I currently have the Mammut Barryvox, this version:

I'm considering getting another one so that I can practice more, and so that when I have to go on a trip as I am this year with at least one person unfamiliar with transceiver usage, I can be more helpful in instruction and practice scenarios.

I'm wondering if this tool is still "current" enough to warrant purchasing another identical one, or if I should be thinking about upgrading, and if so, why?

Thanks a lot from an east coaster who doesn't use avi tools very often.
