This Controller Position
Responsibilities
● Manage all accounting operations including billings and accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory and cost accounting and revenue recognition
● Lead and develop our accounting co-workers to achieve the goals of the department
● Participate as a valued member of our departmental management group
● Coordinate the production of timely and accurate financial statements, monthly reporting packages and ad-hoc reporting
● Coordinate and support the preparation of the annual budget
● Ensure adherence to proper internal controls, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and industry regulations
● Coordinate the preparation of industry regulatory reporting and related tax filings
● Manage compliance for local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
● Coordinate with our external financial audit team
● Research and apply technical accounting issues
● Develop and document business processes and accounting policies
● Special projects and financial analysis, as needed
● Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Requirements
● Minimum 2 years of experience as a Controller
● 8 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
● Advanced degree in Accounting
● CPA required
● Must have an in-depth knowledge of accounting practices and principles with practical application and experience in a manufacturing environment
● Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
