Position: Yeti Cycles – Accountant
Pay: Commensurate with experience
Reports to: CFO



Ideal Candidate:


We are looking for a smart, humble, and hard-working individual that has the ability to

manage all functions of the Accounting Department and work closely with the CFO to

oversee Yeti’s financial operations. The ability to prepare timely monthly and annual

financial statements, understand the larger financial picture and handle confidential

information is critical to this position. In addition, we are looking for someone who

cares about the details.



Job Responsibilities:



Daily Operations: The Accountant is responsible for the oversight of all daily financial

and accounting needs of the company. This includes but is not limited to: accounts

receivable, accounts payable/ regular check runs, bank / credit card settlement

reconciliation, cash management, journal entries, and general ledger oversight.



Financial Reporting and Budgeting: The Accountant is responsible for the preparation of

monthly and yearly financials to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of financial

results to the Yeti management team. Additionally, the accounting manager will be a

key part of the budgeting process and assist the CFO in annual financial reviews / audits

when required.



Administrative Oversight: The Accountant must maximize efficiency and accuracy within

the accounting department. Specifically, the position requires great attention to detail

and an overall understanding of how the daily tasks of the job relate to the larger

financial picture. The position must work with an independent credit agency to improve

collections and AR management.

Financial Controls: As a member of the financial team, the Accountant will be expected

to help develop and maintain financial controls within the company. This includes

oversight of back reconciliations, invoicing, Magento web store sales / refund

reconciliation, and periodic tax payments & tracking.



Job Requirements:



Required - knowledge and experience

• Accounting experience.

• Budget experience.

• Bank Reconciliation / Credit Card Settlement Experience

• Financial Statement Preparation.

• Credit Management experience.

• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and verbal communication skills.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to work in fast paced, often stressful environment.

• Computer skills - Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Ability to work diligently with attention to details under minimal supervision.

• Maintain a positive and pleasant attitude at all times.







Preferable – knowledge and experience



• Syspro ERP system experience

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• CPA

• Experience working with foreign currency exchange

• 3+ years in the bike industry, preferably in an accounting / financial role.

• Knowledge of current mountain bike products and market.

• Cyclist with a strong preference for fat tires
