Burial resulting in fatality. Palisades area. Thoughts go out to the families and all affected. We all need to take a look at our motivations for and behavior involving backcountry travel. Its not safe anywhere with an intercontinental snowpack right now (ID, MT, UT, WY that I know of) and no line is worth your life. Stay in bounds, stay mellow, or dont go at all. Read advisories and be aware of surroundings.

Damn. I hope this isn't one of THOSE years.

kinda scary these last few days full of slide victims... now with temps a little higher this last week and getting colder again... things might be getting pretty bad out there!

things are already bad! and like they say- its gonna get worse before it gets better.
