Today: Isolated snow showers in the morning...then chance of snow in the afternoon. Cloudy. Highs 39 to 46. Brisk west winds 10 to 20 mph this afternoon.

Tonight: Snow and areas of blowing snow. Snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches valleys and 5 to 10 inches mountains. Lows 15 to 26. Brisk west winds 15 to 25 mph.

Thursday: Snow and areas of blowing snow in the morning...then snow likely in the afternoon. Total snow accumulation of 5 to 10 inches in the valleys and 10 to 18 inches in the mountains. Highs 32 to 39. Brisk northeast winds 15 to 25 mph in the morning.

Thursday night and Friday: Chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy. Lows 11 to 19. Highs 33 to 43.

Bozeman Area

Today: Mostly cloudy. In the mountains...scattered snow showers. Highs 40 to 50. ..30 to 40 in the mountains. Southwest winds 10 to 20 mph.

Tonight: Snow likely in the evening...then periods of snow after midnight. Snow may be heavy at times...with visibilities less than one quarter mile. Snow accumulation 2 to 4 inches and up to 8 inches in the mountains. Lows 15 to 25. West winds 15 to 25 mph.

Thursday: Periods of snow in the morning...then chance of snow in the afternoon. Snow may be heavy at times...with visibilities less than one quarter mile. Snow accumulation 2 to 5 inches. Total snow accumulation 4 to 8 inches in the valleys and up to 12 inches in the mountains. Highs 25 to 30. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy...with a 50 percent chance of snow showers. Lows 10 to 15. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.

FoS, looks like he's starting to feel bad for those of us deprived this winter and sentenced to months of dry warm weather. And now he wants to mess with the perfect mountain bike weather.

We're starting from scratch here- with 0" of base- but hey, we got some on the way too! Nothing like October in March :rolleyes: 2005-2006 is starting early!

Snow Forecast For The Cascades

SEATTLE -- The National Weather Service says a snow advisory is in effect from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 1 a.m. Thursday as a cold front and upper-level low pressure system cross the region. The forecast also includes a chance of thunderstorms. The heaviest snowfall is expected Wednesday afternoon and evening. Snowfall in the central and southern Cascades is expected to amount to 3 to 6 inches above 3,000 feet elevation Wednesday afternoon and another 4 to 6 inches Wednesday evening.

its not too uncommon for Montana (BB especially) to get hammered when the forecast calls for sun and denied when we have winter storm warnings.

Lets hope this isnt another one of the latter.
