Denver Water Drought Rules
Between April 1 and Sept. 30, Denver Water customers may only water two days a week and must follow this schedule:
•Single-family residential properties with addresses ending in even numbers: Sunday, Thursday
•Single-family residential properties with addresses ending in odd numbers: Saturday, Wednesday
•All other properties (multi-family, HOA, commercial, industrial, government): Tuesday, Friday
On your assigned watering day, follow these suggested watering times using a cycle and soak method.
Watering is prohibited on Mondays, except for irrigators operating under a water budget.
In addition, customers must follow these annual watering rules:
•Do not water lawns between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
•Do not waste water by allowing it to pool in gutters, streets and alleys.
•Do not waste water by letting it spray on concrete and asphalt.
•Repair leaking sprinkler systems within 10 days.
•Do not water while it is raining or during high winds.
Lastly, if you have Kentucky Bluegrass in your yard...you need to strip it and replant with more water friendly varients!
I have the number on my speed dial and have no issues calling. If you use FB, please share the post. If we all police eachother, we can make a difference...then we can get after the agricultural waist that accounts 80% of the Front Range water use.
