nsr 'cause I'm in South Carolina for a few days and skiing seems quite distant.
Anyhow. The topic at hand. Flipping through the channels the other night (I sometimes miss cable) I stumble across the opening scene of a movie I recognize right away (which kind of surprised me). Seems some sort of ABC Family channel was showing Spies Like Us. Well, never being one to turn away from classic comedy, I settle in to see if this flick will stand-up almost 10 years after I last saw it (it does).
Of course various little words were editted here and there and that's fine, but here's the part that, well, not really upset, but disconcerted (?) me: towards the end, when the missle is launched, and everyone decides they may as well get busy, they show Chevy Chase and blonde girl hooking up, they show Dan Akroyd and russian girl together post-coital in their tent, but they editted out the short scene of the two Russian men looking lovey-dovey and walking off together. Or did I imagine that scene?
It's strange what some people feel we need to shelter our youth from.
Sick and ashamed and happy (and preparing for the radical, vertical impact simulation),
