UT, CO snowfall? HELP

Hey guys, not really sure where to put this, so i hope its the right forum! i'm heading on a road trip down to sw colorado within the week, was planning on stopping through utah on the way back, but i was wondering if anyone had input to which ski areas would be the ones to hit. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. So far I know i'm riding Telluride and DMR, and am hoping to get possibly alta or deer valley headed up? just not sure where the goods are! thanks, happy shredding.:yourock::smoking:

Alta gets more snowfall than deer valley, but it will get skied out faster. Deer Valley also has LENGENDARY grooming, so thats something to consider. At the end of the day the resorts are less than 10 miles apart as the crow flies, if one resort gets hit, the other one will too.

Why DMR? It wouldn't be in my top 10 in CO.

I'd do Silverton and/or Wolf Creek if your in the area. Crested Butte or any of the Aspen areas if your willing to drive a bit.

DMR is bottom of the barrel. It's PURGATORY, fool.

Deer Valley isnt all it used to be. They have increased lift capacity A LOT over the past years, so even if they do a good job grooming, the slopes are crowded, and get scraped off by a bunch of shitty skiers. I feel like you cant really open it up there a lot of the time because there is such a high skier density on the good groomed runs. Plus, a lot of the longer groomers are low elevation, so this time of year they are granular junk snow. ymmv.

Honestly the snow isnt particularly good right now, been a super poor year in the wasatch/western colorado. go for the views and the experience. In this regard, I'd say Alta, Telluride, CB, Highlands.

Low expectations for the win.
