i live a block from wrigley. when the cubs lost to the marlins at home and ended up inches from the world series 2 years ago, there was not even an inkling of anger, disappointment, disgust, etc. everyone just went home.
the last time i was went to a game at wrigley, drunk dudes with their shirts off would be facing up the bleachers yelling to their buddies for an entire inning and the biggest cheers came when pop flies went really high. weeeee!
cubs fans at wrigley are predominatly drunk out of town tourists. also, the vast majority of the north side of chicago is not from chicago. white sox fans know baseball though. all 6 of them.
i missed this thread, i guess i was skiing that day. i missed the game too.
and dallas is right. when it comes to bc ball its only fun if they win. otherwise, i have too much else to pay attention to. like how on earth Danny traded Antoine Walker and Tony Delk for Antoine Walker, Gary Payton, Rafe Lafrentz, AL jefferson, and Delonte West. or wonder if Troy Brown was released with the intention of picking him up as a free agent for much less than his impending 5 million against the cap.
