Job Description
Virtual Jackson Hole LLC, a Jackson, WY based media company, is seeking a talented UI designer to join our growing organization. We provide web design and development service for a number of channel partners in supporting their virtual presence, including government, business and entertainment companies.

This position is responsible for building elegant, intuitive web interfaces as a part of the design and development team working on numerous web and mobile platforms. Responsibilities will include leading UI projects, determining appropriate design solutions; prototyping layouts, and turning designs into standards-based XHTML/CSS/JS, while insuring that all UI work is produced to the highest standards.

As the UI Designer you will:
• Create process flows, wireframes, prototypes, high fidelity mockups, and detailed UI and visual design specifications for web and mobile
• Request and drive user research as needed; must be able to conduct research on your own or be able to lead a contractor to provide these services
• Work closely with team members to help define business and feature requirements
• Assess and optimize the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in usability testing and interpreting analytics data
• Present design work to development team, external designers, and external partners for review and feedback
• Contribute to user interface design and development best practices and standards
• Partner with highly technical teams and handle multiple projects in an agile, fast-paced environment

Candidate Must Demonstrate:
• Visual design expertise; capacity for creating fun, highly usable designs and layouts
• Strong practical knowledge of user-centered design methodologies and usability principles
• Nimbleness; the ability to turn around rigorous wireframes and mockups quickly in an iterative environment; able to generate design ideas quickly (whiteboarding) with team members
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, implemented in a framework
• Experience designing user experiences for desktop and mobile device
• Mastery of XHTML/CSS/JS
• A passion for clean, compliant, and semantic markup
• Expert working knowledge of design tools and technology
• Excellent knowledge of web technology and standards
• An intimate understanding of performance, usability
• The ability to integrate UI design skills with technical development
• Knowledge of website layout and usability
• Strong understanding of HTML5 and mobile-ready frameworks
• A passion for color, typography, graphic design and illustration
