tele vs. downhill speed

[I am living at a ski resort that drops into the atlantic ocean. literally]

So, I show up at the monday night beer league racing at the local hill. Been racing on tele throwing down 24+ sec times all season. I decide an experiment is necessary since I managed to dig out my skinny alpine boards from another province the other weekend. Race my two runs at 21.8 and 22.5 sec on alpine. alright but not great runs.

I then proceded to strap on the tele gear. I don't know if it was the full moon shinning down or what, but nailed down a 22.8 second time hollering like a madman across the finish line. Back that up with a 22.7 time, So I am nearly as fast on tele now as I am on alpine.

Tele skiers up here are way fast, they all kick my ass and aparently one won the town league race outright last weekend

Interesting. What resort would this be? Are you doing full tele style turns?

Yup, Full tele turns. It's not really a ski resort, but more of a lift on a hill called 'Ski Ben Eion.' Find it on a map, if you can.
