And i know it was announced in August, but they are hitting the states now.
More to come.

I'm hearing the new optimal wheel size is 657C
do you even have a 650 bike?
Doesn't a 2.4 on a 559 rim = ~27"?
The 2.4 Purg on the front of my bike looks huDge.
I have been running 26.50 for a number of months now, including ft Collins, Breck, Fruita, Moab, Teton pass, big holes, twin falls, Boise, bend, and a few other places. Running 2.5 rear, with a few different modified Nevegal fronts.
Basically I am waiting to see what 'happens' with the geometries this summer, likely running a bastard reign or something until then.
Is that good enough?

That's a large wheel...

^^ BB height looks about right...
Try running just a front disc brake on one of those....
thread title should say 'high roller II' for maximum relevancy and counter-meh.
:fmicon:
stuck, a 2.4 Purgatory 650b would be bigger than 27 OD. it's not particularly relevant to ask 'how big would a 2.4 in general be on a xxx rim?' since sidewall height varies so much between tires. ETRO is 1 inch bigger than 26er rims. So for a given tire design and nominal width, the OD increases by 1 inch unless the mfger has changed the design for the 650b version.
oh right.
well, thanks for the beautiful pictures.
