New album, Lullabies to Paralyze, comes out on 3/22. I've heard the new single a bunch of times, and I'm really stoked on it. I think you can watch the video on their website.
Anyone else feeling it?

The new single sounds good. I'm sure I'll pick the album up when it comes out. Going to see them at the QE theatre here in Van April 13th. Same venue as lat time they were in town, great show they put on.
Yawn. QOTSA are bloated and boring paint by the number “rock”.
Stoked for the new Queens album!
This coming from the guy that likes Modest Mouse.Quote:

It's sad. I want so much to like QOTSA, but they lost the rock somewhere and don't seem all that concerned about finding it again.

I heart Kyuss. This is a big reason QOTSA became so disappointing. How can someone who wrote and played songs like "100 Degrees" and "One Inch Man" (not to mention "If Only", "Regular John", and "How To Handle a Rope" from their first record) be so boring?Quote:

Along with Kyuss, check out Unida and Dozer for some rockin' good times.
Birds vs. Worms and Shit Luck are unfuckwithable songs. However, because of Mrs. Clark’s shit talking and chronic misrepresentation of my musical taste at dinner parties we have been listening the Tribes of Nurot’s Adaptation and Survival—an ambient recording dedicated to, and inspired by, the sounds of insects—on all our car rides. Stay out of the TDI, bitch… unless you can dig the drone.Quote:

I've listened to it 3 or 4 times. I like it, quite a bit. IMHO, It feels like a return to their debut album style, without giving up the progression in songwriting that Homme has made over the last 2 albums.
Nick Olivieri's presence is barely noticeable, though I do miss his occasional vocals.

How'dya get it yestahday? I thought it didn't come oot until next Tuesday??
also, why is Tuesday the day that everything media-related gets released to stores? Movies, cds, video games....they always come out on a tuesday....
Special connections. :fmicon: Buddeh got advanced copy cause hes got a friend from UMass who worked with Homme before on desert sessions and other stuff. However, I hear the album has leaked and found its way into bittorrents and soulseek.
As for the Tuesday thing, I blame the freemasons.
I tried to find that picture of Smithers with the germs all over him while Burns hallucinates but didn't have any luck.....I did find this which I think is cool...I hope it works!Quote:

I kinda like it. Buddy got it if bittorrent a while ago. Lots of good stuff out there if you've got the patience to work at it.
Heh. I knew I'd find you in this thread. I am, however, surprised by the sentiment.Quote:

I picked up the album yesterday, only listened to the first 5 tracks so far but it seems pretty good. My cross-country drive starts today so I'm sure I will have listened to it 343 times by the time I get to Mass, I'll give a review then.
I have to bump this and say that after listning to this a lot, I think this album is very solid.
I'm definitely digging the album alot. They are playing SLC in 10 days - I'm there fo' shizzle.
anyone think the song after "litter sister" sounds like Audioslave?
I’m confused, Deerhoof is unfuckwithable.Quote:
