Nah, I liked drums pretty well, the dynamic between the two of them was good. But pretty much every extended drum solo eventually gets to a point of noodling where it's just like "what song was this?". Just don't dig it.

I saw The Who with Kenny Jones in 1982 of their first Farewell Tour. Saw them again with Simon Phillips on thier next "Farewell Tour" in 1989.. Got the t-shirt hahaha..
Back in the late 80s I played in a band that did some Allman Bros.. In Memory of Elizabeth Reed was hella fun to play! Wish I had a recording of it.. Plenty of other stuff from my past haunting YouTube though..

Used to love drum solos when I first started going to shows in high school. I remember seeing Tommy Aldridge do his drum solo with the Pat Travers Band and hitting the drums with his head, thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.
Now they just bore me. Guess I'm just a grouchy old man now.
This is the best drummer living or dead. I've been very lucky to see some of the best. Grew up with the Buddy Rich surrounding my bed, literally.
Brian has such a deep level that approaches Coltrane himself. Got to hang with him a few times. Amazing in all aspects of life, and beyond completely inspiring if that is possible. This man can pull you from a ditch.
If you don't own everything that he's ever recorded on, save your soul and get it.
If you want something familiar with a round the way making of music, check some Danilo, Patti, and Brian:

Fun stuff here! Here's something a little different. I struggle to find something with better sound quality on utubes that's not like an hour long. I saw this duo several times before the elder died, pretty special, father and son, especially when playing with the Shankar father daughter duo. The finale is pretty mind blowing.
