Could I trouble you for your expert reflections on what the following means for this season's snow fall please?

"Record Ocean Temperatures Off New England

Federal ocean scientists said this year’s sea surface temperatures along the northeast coast of the U.S. set all-time records, with as-yet unknown consequences for marine ecosystems. Above-average temperatures were found in all parts of the ecosystem, from the ocean bottom to the sea surface and across the region, and the above average temperatures extended beyond the shelf break front to the Gulf Stream, according to an ecosystem advisory issued by NOAA’s Northeast Fisheries Science Center."

Well none of the long term forecasts have referenced it even though they have access to the information.

On the plus side it could provide more moisture and energy for winter storms.

Obviously on the minus side it could provide more warmth especially for that common storm track up the East Coast.

Guess we will have to wait and see.

When I heard that on NPR it definitely caught my attention.

Can we order cold air from Canada?

Well those warm ocean temps aren't going to be good news next week...
