Will have the pleasure of skiing Solitude and Alta this weekend.
One question about Solitude - is there easy way of getting back to the top of Honeycomb Canyon? I am looking at the trail map and it looks like you have to take the Honeycomb lift up, but then I get a bit confused. (Moreso than usual.)
Additionally, any meeting points? I don't expect a tour and don't want to slow anyone down, but saying hello to a few maggots would be fun.

No real way to get back to top of honeycomb canyon without taking 3 lifts.
You can access some of the lower canyon by Honeycomb lift, but you cannot get to the top of the canyon without doing Honeycomb - (Sunrise/Powderhorn) - Summit Laps.
You can also do "Honeycomb Return" to one of the other lifts to get to Summit, but bottom line is you must take Summit to get to the very top of the canyon

It only take two lifts to get to the top of Honeycomb. if you want to call the Summit lift the top that is.
From Solitude Village you skate your skinny/fat ass to the sunrise lift, then you sit on that for about 7 minutes then you ski down to the Summit lift and you sit on that for about 11 minutes and you are there!!
If you are doing laps in Honeycomb canyon then you can ski down to the powderhorn lift take that up and ski down Parachute or Middle Slope to the Summit lift that is still only two lift rides to the top with "MHS" or the Honeycomb lift being one of them. the top of Powderhorn has some easier routes down the canyon but those are ussually skied out first.
The Honeycomb aka MEXICAN HELI SKI (MHS) lift services what I think is the best access to Honeycomb. (1 lift ride) and
my favorite lift :) this big mountain lift served run is one for all you egomaniacs that cant afford heliskiing :D like me

You are correct sir. I think MacDaddy kinda forgot about honeycomb lift because you ski down from there to powderhorn

I didnt forget, I just didnt count MHS as a lift ride, its a Mexican Helicoptero :)
Once off MHS, you ski down to Powderhorn then, ski down to Summit.
So yes, its three lifts rides, if you are starting from Honeycomb Canyon and are trying to get back to Summit. However, its only two lift rides from the Village. Which is what I thought the original question was, my bad.
It doenst really matter because Solitide sucks anyways.
Why all of a sudden is Solitude getting so much play?

The last few weeks I've actually avoided the MHS lift. I've taken a liking to skiing down the cat track to the Eagle. From the top of Eagle I can head to skiers right out into Rhapsody and make more of a run than skiing down Sunshine bowl from the MHS lift.
Anyways, yeah, it does seem Solitude gets a lot of play lately. Of course being a passholder there for the last few years I hate seeing my home resort get busy. But, after going to Snowbird last Saturday I got a feel for just how empty Solitude really is. I waited in 10 minute lines on Little Cloud, Sunday I skied directly on any lift I wanted to at Solitude. As much as I don't want them to change at all, they could use the business.
Steve, PM MacDaddy, I'm doing him a favor this weekend and made him promise to assume the position of "unofficial" Solitude tour guide. Not that he doesn't play the role well enough on his own, ;). You happened to pick the second Sunday of the season I won't be there, I'll be in Jackson.
