Seattle I-5 MTB Park
Have you guys been following this one?

Looks like a cool place to ride after work, in the rain, whenever. It looks like there will be a lot of stunts and features all built with the intention of people trying them again and again and practicing skills.
The proximity to bars is always nice too.

Hmmm. What's they've got looks sort of lame, imho. Yuppy central, really. I like my mountainbiking on actual trails. If you want to build something artificial for bikes that's sheltered from rain for the love of god please build a good park. You know, a skatepark? Aimed at bmx of course =p

It's not being built to be the next North Shore. It's a fun practice area. You'll never see a city bankroll a real indoor MTB park, and if you want a BMX/Skate park, pick your choice of the 50 around the Seattle metro area.
Not every ride is going to be a 30mi epic either. For those of us post-college with jobs I would say it is very common that you may get an itch to get on your bike and dork around after work on a weekday but don't exactly have the time for a full on ride.
Since I don't live in the city, I personally won't be there that often, but if I lived in a house or apartment across the street you can bet I would be stoked.
