Hip Resurfacing

Hi everyone, I’ve been experiencing symptoms of a hip resurfacing. Five months after my operation, I began to notice a mild weight bearing pain in the hip. It was particularly clear if I stood on one leg and then removed heaviness from the leg. And I read an article about this surgery in Wright Conserve Plus Recall, and I’m worried about my current situation. Any ideas andsuggestions are greatly appreciated.

The best thing you can do is go back to your surgeon, get examined, likely get x-rays to make sure everything look good.
There's a lot of news in the media about metal on metal hips, some of it not entirely reliable - the website you link to, for example, is not a medical site but a law group site (there are financial interests interwoven into any such public service announcement). Some of the resurfacing devices have been discontinued because the margin in which the device had to be positioned was very narrow, making it trickier to reliably implant. There's also some recent findings that the microscopic metal debris can cause a local reaction in a small subset of patients. All things considered, the vast majority of patients thankfully still do great, but I completely understand your desire to be vigilant (and I would be the same). Thus, going back to see your surgeon is the safest approach.
