Vail= what CAIC zone?

I have genrally always looked at the info for the Northern Mountains, but on their little map vail is directly between Nothern and Central...

Northern Mountains
Wed night: Cloudy, snow showers, T-2" (Steamboat zone, 1-3"). Winds SW/5-15. Lows 17-27.
Thursday: Cloudy, snow showers, T-3" (Steamboat zone, 2-4"). Winds SW/5-15. Highs 24-34.
Thur night: Cloudy, light snow, 2-3" (Vail Pass & Steamboat zone, 3-5"). Winds WSW/5-15. Lows 13-23.
Friday: Cloudy, snow showers, 2-4".

Central Mountains
Wed night: Cloudy, light snow, 2-4" (T-2" in Aspen zone). Winds SW/5-10. Lows 17-27.
Thursday: Cloudy, light snow, 3-6" (1-3" in Aspen Zone and on Monarch). Winds SW/5-15. Highs 24-34.
Thur night: Cloudy, snow, 4-7" all zones. Winds WSW/5-15. Lows 15-25.
Friday: Cloudy, snow showers, 2-4".

could really all depend on what direction the systems come from....

anyone have any info on what is usually more accurate for vail?

It's on the northern edge of the central mountains.

I sure would enjoy going to the boat if they get any snow from this.
Did not buy a pass to any of the I-70 resorts. I sure hate I-70 with a passion or should I say all of the traffic on I-70.
Did that drive to Loveland last Saturday and got stuck in the shit right from the start. Just a reminder why I did not buy a pass. The Freerides and becon have been my pass alot this year.

The front side and back bowls are in the northern mountains, but blue sky basin is in the central mountains.

Rather than blindly reading the report for a specific region, why don't you use some of the grey matter that allowed you to write your screen name upside down? You could, for instance, look at them both.
