Attachments in threads should open new windows not lead you away from thread

This seems pretty standard and something the coding mags could fix.
If I click an attachment in a thread it takes me to that attachment and I have to hit back to go back to the thread but that's silly.
The thread is the important part not the attachment and I will only view the attachment for a second and then close or save.
With my violent interwweb clickings I cant be bothered with knowing what thread I was in or where in what forum it was. Attachments are secondary not primary clicking position.
What if I want the attachment open in a new window and read the thread. Yeah I know hit ctrl, but standard should be attachment goes in new window thread stays where it is.
At any given time I will have several tabs and windows open another one is fine and gravy.

Actually, they should bring up an overlay like they used to.

sure, flash window or overlay what ev just not like they do with a redirect basically.

I agree, it doesn't make sense to redirect the window, attachments opening in a new window should be the default.

That is to say, I agree.

What happened to the upload feature. TGR was off line a few hours tonight, and when it came back on, I can only attach thumbnails. Why does it keep getting harder (ie. more steps needed) to post stoke. Right now I can't even figure out how to make them full sized.

Message sent to the devs. I would imagine it has to do with the latest upgrade we implemented after the security threats.

The [img] tag [/img] button isn't working properly either.
