Get a job in a ski shop, any job. Then work your way into the tech side while you earn.
I started by doing a co-op with my high school. I worked hard and was offered a Job. Having some "freehand" experience and waxing your own gear does not qualify you to work in a shop.
bring enough nugs and i'll teach ya
OK kid, let me help you out. Forget the whole ski tech thing. It will get you no where. Your better off finding a decent place to bus tables, then move on up to serving and nicer restaurants. Or really doing anything besides being a ski tech. Stick to just fixing your own gear. Seriously.
Go work in a rental shop.
go work for skb and give him nugs asap
If you can make it out, most race companies have intern jobs at Mt. Hood demoing/tuning bitch. Its a foot in the door.
