College student looking to hear the likelihood of getting a seasonal gig just for Christmas break. Anybody out there with experience in this? What jobs normally show up for this type of thing?
Nothing on the resorts website says anything about this short of a seasonal job.

Not sure, but retail stores are always looking for extra hands during the holidays. It was awful work but it gave me enough money for the next semester to get me to the mountain and punish my liver. In this climate you might need to have an MBA and 10+ years of sales experience to score one of those jobs..
retail is going to be your best bet.
The rental dept at a resort will usually hire a few extra people over christmas. You would most likely get hired last minute so it would be hard to try and nail something down right now. Also the hours can be variable and you will probably be the first to get cut when things slow down after the morning rush.
The postal service is looking for seasonal employees. Better act fast, if they haven't already closed it, I think they're closing the posting soon.
I know the local supermarket here hires extra seasonal employees every year. Wouldn't think you'd need to join the union for those few weeks but that's really just an uneducated guess.
Just call some ski rental shops.

Definately call the resorts, they often need extra ski school help over the holiday season and spring break, especially here in states adjacent to flat land.
