Opened Eyes
Imagine my surprise when I found one of the more impressive segments of a recent ski flick to be the jib segment. Something about the way it was presented really opened my eyes to the creativity being displayed. Fashioning lines out of roofs, stairs, and any inclined surface in the urban and suburban jungle is worthy of at least a small tip of my hat. Short shots, bringing skis where not many would have ever thought to, making it a little more accessible to little Johnny No-car. It's all good.
And it actually makes me want to drag my worn body out there and try it.
Sick and ashamed and happy (and not that I will - the probability of pain and humiliation far outweighs the slim chance of glory),

Pain and humiliation is right.
Tres cool and stylie when nailed. But it is so hard to watch the wipout segments. And we see more business in the patrol room from the trauma park than anything else...
