Snow PostCast. Help if you can! Attn Euro mags

Ok, so here is what I am looking for, a Snow PostCast
(opposite of a forecast).

I have a site with an image of the last hour's precipitation.

The image at the bottom is the one I want.
(Actually, it is a series of images, but only the last 6, taken every 10 minutes. I want the last 72.)

I sleep all night and cannot watch this image all night long. And we all know it snows at night.
I also ski during the day, so I cannot watch it all day either.

So, I want to capture this image every hour, and then paste 12 of them together.
After every 12 hours (say at 7am and 7pm) I would like to view the series of images in order.

Ideally, I would receive an email at 7am and then again at 7pm with these images waiting for me to view them.
I imagine a program could do that with ease as well.

With this excellent info, I can then decide where the most snow fell over night, and during the day, thus where the skiing is the best.

Can anyone write a program to do this?

I already told you I can do this. I just have to do it. (which is another problem)
