Backfoot River MT?

Anyone here floated the Blackfoot (the big one, not the little Blackfoot)? I'm thinking about doing it in a kayak from Russell Gates to River Bend this weekend. I'm a complete newb to kayaking, only done it twice on flat water, and am wondering if this is an ok river for a novice or if it will kick my ass... It's flowing at 3600 cfs right now. :confused:

you should be golden, its a mellow river at this level. Personally I think that round up to johns rud right now is a bit more fun. Mellow class II, maybe III-.

I have done it many times in a canoe. You will be fine.
